The former Napoli forward has been a key player for the club since joining on loan in the summer, he further established his importance to the team with another title-winning goal.

He opened the scoring with a bullet header in the 27th minute Gabriel Sara’s well-placed corner.

It was Osimhen’s 36th goal in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.

Barış Alper Yılmaz added the second goal with a cool finish two minutes later to make it 2-0.

Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-0 to become the second goalkeeper to score a penalty this season after Dynamo Moscu’s Igor Leshchuk netted from the spot against Akhmat Grozny in Russian Premier League.

It was Muslera’s second goal for the club after  scoring a penalty in 2012 against Manisaspor in the final game of the season. He is expected to leave the club at the of the season.

The victory was enough to hand Galatasaray the Turkish tirle for the second consecutive season with two games to go.

The Yellow Reds are eight points clear of second-placed Fenerbahce with 89 points from 34 matches, earning 28 wins, five draws, and one defeat.

Osimhen has enjoyed a successful season with Galatasaray, becoming  the club’s all-time record highest goalscorer by a foreign football player in a season with 36 goals.

He has now won his fifth trophy of his career after winning the U-17 World Cup, U-23 AFCON (both in 2015), and the Serie A title in 2023, and a domestic double with Galatasaray this season.

He has scored 25 goals in the Turkish League, six goals in the Europa League, and five goals in the Turkish Cup in his first season in Turkey.

Osimhen is now the third foreign football player in Galatasaray’s history to score 25 goals in a Super Lig season, after the likes of Bafetimbi Gomis in the 2017-18 campaign and Mauro Icardi in the 2023-24 season.

The Super Eagles forward is also on course to win the top scorer award in the Turkish league with 25 goals, two clear of closest challenger Krzysztof Piatek with two games to go.

Up next for Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates is a clash an away clash against Goztepe next Sunday.
