Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park

If you’re looking for beautiful spots for picnics in Lagos, the city has plenty to offer. One great option is the modern JJT Park Ikeja, located right in the heart of the city.

This park was created to honor three former governors of the state, Brigadier Mobolaji Johnson (Rtd.), Alhaji Lateef Jakande, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu combining their surnames to form Johnson, Jakande, and Tinubu (JJT). JJT Park offers lots of fun activities to do with friends and is definitely worth exploring. The park is open daily from 9 am – 6 pm.

Location: by House of Assembly beside Lagos State Secretariat Alausa, 100001, Ikeja

Access Fee: Free for 0-9 people 

Opening Hours: 9 am – 6 pm, Monday to Sunday.

Freedom Park

Freedom Park is a hidden gem in Lagos, offering a perfect blend of green spaces, cultural exhibits, and artistic installations. It’s an ideal location for picnics, surrounded by captivating artwork and local history.

You can relax with your friends, enjoy delicious goodies, and bask in the amazing weather. Despite being located in the heart of the bustling city of Lagos, Freedom Park is a peaceful, friendly, and creative space that exudes positive energy.

It’s definitely worth a visit to unwind and relax. The park is open 10 am – 10 pm hours daily to visitors. So, you can visit any time of the day.

It is usually crowded on weekends, so we recommend choosing a nice day during the week for you and your friends to enjoy private time. Note that there’s an entrance fee of 200 naira to be paid before you are allowed into the park.

Muri Okunola Park

If you’re looking for a peaceful haven in the heart of Lagos, Muri Okunola Park is definitely worth a visit. It is located right next to the Nigerian Law School, with lush grasses, shaded areas, and benches, it’s a popular choice for picnics and relaxation.
