Afrobeats legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia is officially moving forward with a new chapter in his personal life. The music icon recently introduced his fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to his hometown community and the Idoma traditional leadership in a symbolic and culturally rich ceremony that has captured national attention.
The formal introduction took place on Monday during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium at the prestigious Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo, Benue State. Clad in regal traditional Idoma attire, 2Baba was all smiles as he proudly presented Osawaru, a former Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly to His Royal Majesty, the Och’Idoma V, and other high-ranking members of the Idoma council.
The occasion was steeped in tradition and symbolism, with community leaders, cultural custodians, and dignitaries in attendance. It marked a significant step in 2Baba’s effort to solidify his relationship with Osawaru not just in the public eye, but within the cultural framework of his roots.
Following the formalities at the palace, the couple journeyed to Okpokwu, 2Baba’s ancestral hometown, where the legendary artist introduced his bride-to-be to elders and members of the local community. The visit was both a reaffirmation of his commitment to Osawaru and a request for blessings and approval from his extended family.
