A recent viral photo claiming that actor Bruce Willis has died has sparked widespread speculation and concern among fans. The image, which has circulated on Facebook, features a photo of Willis with the text “R.I.P” and the dates “1955-2024.” This post has led to different reactions from the public and raised questions about the accuracy of the claim.
As of today July 31, 2024, Bruce Willis is alive. It is a communication disorder; Bruce Willis’ family announced in 2022 that the actor has been diagnosed with Aphasia.
They provided information about Willis’ diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, or FTD, a severe and progressive disease which affects language and personality.
FTD may be more variable and can last from two to over twenty years; nevertheless, the usual duration is between seven to thirteen years from the onset of symptoms. Regrettably, this ailment like most neurological diseases has no known cure or has no proven treatment.
Of course, the health problems persist, but, to the present date, there is no information about the death of Willis. The statement of the family about FTD brought to focus on the fact that though this disease is very cruel for the patients and families, it often realized that the incidence is quite common even in people below sixty years of age.

Many Facebook users have reacted strongly to the death claim. One user criticized the spread of false information, saying, “Now that I have your attention… Bruce Willis is not dead. Whoever started this, it’s disrespectful. Can you imagine his kids and loved ones scrolling and they see ‘RIP Bruce Willis’?! This is absolutely disgusting behavior.”
Another user expressed disbelief, stating, “Tell me Bruce Willis ain’t dead.”
A third user urged others to correct the misinformation, saying, “WHY ARE YALL SHARING THAT BRUCE WILLIS IS DEAD? THAT MAN IS ALIVE!!”
To date, there are no official reports that the actor has passed on, therefore, it is quite wrong for the public to spread the news without evidence.
