90-Year-Old Driver Slams Car Into CA Coffee Shop . A Thanksgiving disaster unfolded in Northern California when a 90-year-old driver slammed his car through a local coffee shop in a shocking high-speed crash, all caught on video.
The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. on Thursday in Los Gatos, California, at the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company.
Driver Extricated and Hospitalized

The driver was reportedly traveling at a high speed before losing control and plowing straight into the storefront.

Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and successfully extricated the man from the wreckage.

He was then transported to a nearby hospital. Police confirmed his condition was serious but stable.
“Devastated” Owner Expresses Gratitude
Terri Hope, the founder of the Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company, was “devastated with the destruction” when she arrived minutes after the crash.
“Normally, we are open with a hundred people in the space. There was not one person on the street or inside the building at the time it happened. We are just very grateful that no one was injured.”
Alcohol Factor Under Investigation
The massive damage to the building is visible in the video footage.
Police say an investigation is ongoing, but initial reports suggest alcohol may have been a factor in the high-speed accident.
