A 66-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges following a shooting that left a victim seriously injured on the West Side earlier this month.
Chicago Police arrested Ricky Williams on December 30, 2025, in the 2900 block of West Roosevelt Road.
Investigators identified Williams as the suspect who shot a 55-year-old man in that same block on December 20.
The victim suffered serious injuries during the incident in the city’s 11th District.
Williams now faces several serious charges, including:

One felony count of First Degree Attempted Murder

One felony count of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

One felony count of Aggravated Battery involving a Firearm

One felony count of Aggravated Battery causing Great Bodily Harm
Williams is scheduled for a detention hearing on January 1, 2026, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California Ave.
