Detectives are searching for three teenagers after a 62-year-old man was severely beaten while riding a CTA bus on Chicago’s West Side last week.
The attack happened on Monday, Dec. 16, around 5:40 p.m.
The victim was on a northbound Cicero Avenue bus approaching the I-290 expressway when three young passengers began the assault.
According to police, the victim suffered extensive injuries and remains in the hospital.
The incident occurred near the borders of the North Lawndale, South Austin, and West Garfield Park neighborhoods.
Police have released descriptions of three suspects involved in the battery:

Suspect 1: Male in his late teens, wearing a blue jacket.

Suspect 2: Male in his mid-to-late teens, wearing a red jacket with a fur hood.

Suspect 3: Male in his early-to-mid teens, wearing a gray jacket with a white hood.
