Nigerian comedian and former Big Brother Naija star, DeeOne, has achieved a remarkable feat after successfully completing a 52-hour stand-up comedy marathon, setting a new record for the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual.
The record-breaking attempt began around 12 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, and concluded triumphantly in the early hours of Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Pallazzo, located in the bustling Ikeja area of Lagos State.

The grueling performance saw DeeOne deliver hours of non-stop jokes, skits, and improvisations before a live audience, showcasing both endurance and creativity. The attempt has now been submitted to the Guinness World Records (GWR) for official verification.
Speaking to journalists shortly after completing the marathon, DeeOne expressed gratitude to his fans and supporters, emphasizing that the challenge was more than a personal milestone, it was a message of hope to Nigerian youths.
“This wasn’t just about breaking a record,” DeeOne said. “It was about inspiring every young Nigerian out there to dream big. No dream is too high to achieve, no goal is impossible if you stay consistent and believe in yourself.”
The 52-hour event attracted a star-studded audience, with appearances from top comedians and entertainers including Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, who all came out to support their colleague’s historic attempt.
If officially confirmed by Guinness World Records, DeeOne’s 52 hours and 42 minutes performance will surpass the current record held by American comedian Benny Elbows, who achieved 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds on April 25, 2025.
