Chicago police have charged 27-year-old Jeylon Rogers with multiple felonies following a violent shooting last year.
The charges stem from an incident on November 23, 2025.
Authorities say Rogers shot and seriously injured a 34-year-old woman.
The shooting took place in the 7800 block of South East End Avenue.
This area is located within the city’s 4th District.
Officers from the Chicago Police Department caught up with Rogers on February 3, 2026.
He was arrested in the 7900 block of South East End Avenue.

Rogers now faces one felony count of Aggravated Battery with a Discharged Firearm.
He also faces a felony charge for being a Felon in Possession of a Weapon.
Additionally, police charged Rogers with felony possession of a controlled substance.
The victim’s current condition has not been updated since the arrest.
Rogers is scheduled for a detention hearing today, February 5, 2026.
The hearing will take place at the Leighton Criminal Court Building at 2600 S. California Ave.
