Chicago police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a robbery that took place on a CTA Red Line train last summer.
Curtis Freeman, 18, faces one felony count of robbery.
Members of the Citywide Robbery Task Force took Freeman into custody on January 5, 2026, in the 700 block of East 111th Street.
Authorities identified Freeman as one of the individuals who targeted a 42-year-old man on August 13, 2025.
The incident occurred on a train in the 100 block of North State Street in Chicago’s 1st District.
Police say the group used force to steal personal items from the victim.
Freeman is scheduled for a detention hearing today, January 6, 2026, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.
No further details regarding other suspects have been released at this time.
