At 788, you can soak in the culinary delight of its mouth-watering dishes with modern Italian inspirations or enjoy a relaxing evening with a glass of wine served from an exquisite wine collection on an outdoor terrace.

Between the classic notes of the resident pianist on 788 On The Sea and the cool waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks, your girl can expect to be spoilt for choice at the beauty that is this restaurant.

2. Nok By Alara

Nok By Alara is a contemporary African restaurant and the culinary extension of Reni Folawiyo’s concept to celebrate and promote every area of the African lifestyle. Here, the classics of African cooking are reinvented, with familiar dishes receiving an innovative twist.

Situated within a lush bamboo-framed garden, NOK is an intimate dining space that displays contemporary Art and Design from across the continent.

Location: 12A Akin Olugbade Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Opening hours: Tuesday – Thursday & Sunday, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Friday – Saturday – 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, 6:00 – 11:00 pm.

3. The Body Language Company

The Body Language Company isn’t like your regular date idea, where you just sit around and eat. This one is very unusual and offers a very thrilling experience. Body Language is home to some of the best dancers, performers, dance teachers, choreographers, fitness experts, and martial artists. It is where to take your girlfriend on a date in Lagos if you’re looking for something more upbeat and fun.

Body Language hosts lots of events on different days of the week, such as Salsa dance parties social dancing at select locations, Afro Latin Dance Parties,  They also teach master classes in dance which couples can attend.

They also host performances and presentations at various events, thereby making the occasion a more lively one. They can perform at weddings, birthday parties, and dinners too if you’d like them to.

Owned by Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters, Terra Kulture is another good place to take your girlfriend on a date in Lagos.  At Terrakulture, you can immersed in the very core of Nigerian arts and culture. 

Terra Kulture is made up of five units – the restaurant, the arena, the gallery, the bookstore, and excursions. You can choose to take your lady to experience any of these units or visit all of them together. The good thing about Terra is that it offers different date experiences all at once, so you’ll even be taking her to five various dates in one day. 

The restaurant is where Nigerian food lovers go the most. It is made of rustic wood and bamboo, and it provides that cosy blend of African and modern, with a delightful African cuisine. The Arena, on the other hand, has been used for concerts by artists like Davido and Burna Boy.

6. House Of Oni

House of Oni is famous for hosting silent disco parties and movie viewing in Lagos. It provides a calming atmosphere for mature audiences who want an escape from the current mundane social lifestyle.

With an eclectic music selection that ranges from hip hop, R&B, jazz, and soul to afrobeat, you are sure to have a fantastic time at this place with your girlfriend.

7. Ndubuisi Kanu Park

Ndubuisi Kanu Park is where to take your girlfriend on a date in Lagos, if you want somewhere that is close to nature. It is a beautiful, safe, and healthy functional park, that features a lovely garden with various recreational centres that meet international standards.
