Voepass 2283 Flight Crashes Near Sao Paulo, Viral Videos Show Aftermath
On Friday, a Voepass flight tragically crashed in São Paulo state, Brazil. The aircraft, identified as Flight 2283, was carrying 59 passengers and four crew members.
Eyewitness videos shared on social media captured the plane spiraling downwards before crashing near Vinhedo.
The flight departed from Cascavel at 11:50 AM local time, bound for São Paulo, with an expected arrival at 1:40 PM.
The aircraft involved was an ATR 72 twin-turboprop. Local authorities are investigating the incident.
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva honored the victims during his speech at an event. He addressed the audience, saying, “I have some very sad news to share, and I ask everyone to rise for a minute of silence.”
On social media, he expressed his condolences, describing the crash as “very sad” and extending his solidarity to the victims’ families and friends.
