Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has broken her silence following the arrest of her fiancé, celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD.
The outspoken influencer took to her Instagram page on Tuesday to defend IVD, who was reportedly detained by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while en route to Qatar.
The arrest is said to be linked to the high-profile domestic violence case that dates back to 2022, the tragic incident involving IVD’s late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, whose death sparked a nationwide conversation on abuse, mental health, and justice.
While the case has lingered in the public space, Blessing CEO is now alleging that her partner is being unfairly targeted, describing the arrest as harassment and emotional blackmail.
“They are pushing me so hard. I will drop this love and come out with my full garment. They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand. IVD is innocent. I am not a coward, these people are using my man, I won’t tolerate this anymore,” she wrote.
In another Instagram post, Blessing CEO questioned the legality of IVD’s arrest, highlighting what she claimed were lapses in due process. She stated that no formal case file or court order was presented to justify detaining him, adding that IVD had only recently recovered his passport after two years of it being declared missing.
She further alleged that despite the absence of an official statement or documented charges, the police have informed her that IVD would remain in custody until Monday.
According to the soon-to-be bride, the situation is less about justice and more about power play.
Blessing CEO insisted that since the case began three years ago, her fiancé has been subjected to intimidation, threats, and deliberate attempts to silence or frustrate him. She warned that she would no longer stay silent as those targeting IVD allegedly continue to exploit the situation for personal gain.
