A tanker carrying diesel flipped over and burst into flames on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway at Iyana Isolo, heading toward Oshodi.
The incident happened around 1:32 PM today, causing major traffic delays.
Firefighters from Lagos Rescue quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire. They worked hard to control the blaze and keep it from spreading. As a result, all vehicles were stopped in the area to ensure safety.
By 1:50 PM, officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) shared an update. They said the fire was under control, and their team was handling the cleanup. Drivers were asked to stay patient while the road was cleared.
No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
