In a heartwarming turn of events, Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has extended a generous hand of support to Nollywood actress Sarah Martins, gifting her ₦20 million following her recent ordeal with Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials in Lagos.
The actress had gone viral earlier after sharing a tearful video detailing how she was harassed and assaulted by KAI officers while cooking free meals for homeless and underprivileged individuals in the Lekki area of Lagos.
According to Sarah, her outreach, an ongoing personal project aimed at feeding the needy was abruptly disrupted by uniformed men who seized her cooking materials, food, and equipment. The viral video, which showed a visibly shaken and injured Sarah, sparked nationwide outrage and calls for accountability.
Moved by her story, Seyi Tinubu reportedly instructed his aides to reach out to the actress personally, offering her ₦20 million to encourage her humanitarian work and help her continue her community feeding initiatives.
Confirming the gesture, Sarah Martins expressed overwhelming gratitude, describing the moment as “a disgrace turned to grace.”
“I honestly didn’t see this coming. What started as one of the worst days of my life has turned into something beautiful. Seyi Tinubu’s generosity has restored my faith and strengthened my resolve to keep serving humanity,” she said in an emotional post.
Social media users have since flooded the comment sections of her post with congratulatory messages, applauding Seyi Tinubu for his act of compassion and leadership by example.
Many hailed the gesture as a reminder that empathy and kindness still exist at the top, with several users urging more public figures to support genuine charitable causes instead of waiting for crises to trend.
Sarah Martins also revealed that part of the funds would go toward expanding her outreach efforts, including setting up a structured feeding foundation to reach more homeless individuals across Lagos.
“I’ve learned that no act of kindness goes unnoticed. I will use this blessing to bless others. This is bigger than me, it’s about spreading love through action,” she added.
What began as a distressing encounter with enforcement officers has now blossomed into a story of hope, kindness, and divine intervention, marking one of the most talked-about moments in Nollywood this week.
