Disgraced R&B star, R. Kelly, has reportedly been hospitalized following a suspected overdose at the Butner Federal Correctional Complex in North Carolina, where he is currently serving a lengthy prison sentence for multiple sex-related crimes.
The incident occurred on June 13, 2025, when Kelly allegedly collapsed inside his prison cell after ingesting what is believed to be a dangerously high dose of medication. His lawyer, Beau B. Brindley, revealed that the dosage could have had fatal consequences, claiming the singer experienced dizziness and vision loss before passing out.
Following the health scare, Kelly was rushed to Duke University Hospital for emergency treatment. Medical personnel at the hospital later discovered blood clots in both his legs and lungs; an alarming diagnosis that has raised serious concerns about the singer’s health and the conditions of his incarceration.
