Nollywood is awash with celebration as beloved actress Chizzy Alichi officially welcomes her first child with husband, Ugochukwu Chike-Mbah. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, are now basking in the joy of parenthood.
On Friday, April 25, Chizzy delighted fans by sharing beautiful pre-maternity photos on her official Instagram page, proudly displaying her baby bump. She captioned the post with a powerful Bible verse: “He made everything beautiful in its time, Ecclesiastes 3:11,” subtly confirming the arrival of her bundle of joy.
The happy news was further confirmed by movie producer Stanley Ontop, who took to his own page to congratulate the actress, writing: “Nollywood actress @chizzyalichi puts to bed Heavens and earth are rejoicing as our Nollywood diva puts to bed wow wow.”
Many of Chizzy’s colleagues have joined in the celebration. Actress Anita Joseph shared an emotional post, praising God’s perfect timing and expressing her happiness for Chizzy. She wrote: “Oh Lord, I can’t contain my Joy, @chizzyalichi. Congrats baby. In his Time, He makes all things Beautiful. ah Jesus OMEKA Nna ya.”
Adding even more emotion to the day, superstar actress Mercy Johnson also shared her joy. Mercy recalled how she had broken into tears when Chizzy first confided in her about her pregnancy. Overflowing with gratitude, she penned: “Finally, I can talk. When my Chizzy told me months ago that she was pregnant, I just started crying. Awesome God, indeed. My joy is full, my baby @chizzyalichi. Congratulations, sweetheart. My respect to Sir.”
Chizzy Alichi has since returned to Instagram to thank everyone for the love and prayers, writing: “My life is indeed a testimony. I love and appreciate everyone. The love is massive. I’m so blessed, and I pray that the good Lord will meet you at the point of your own need; amen. Thank you.”
