Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has completed a permanent transfer to Galatasaray from Napoli for €75 million (£64.8m; $85.6m).
The 26-year-old, who spent last season on loan with the Turkish champions, signed a four-year contract with a €15m salary and a €1m loyalty bonus.
Osimhen shone during his loan spell, scoring 37 goals in 41 matches, including six in the Europa League, helping Galatasaray retain the Turkish Super Lig title.
Napoli will receive a 10% sell-on clause as part of the deal.
Following the transfer, Osimhen posted “Grazie Per Tutto” on his Instagram, meaning “Thanks For Everything” in Italian, expressing gratitude to Napoli and its fans.
The forward, who started his career at Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, previously played for Wolfsburg, Charleroi, Lille, and Napoli, where he scored 76 goals in four seasons.
He was instrumental in Napoli’s 2022-23 Serie A title win, their first in 33 years, with 31 goals that season.
Napoli replaced Osimhen with Romelu Lukaku last summer and recently loaned Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese. C
Chelsea and Saudi club Al Ahli showed interest in Osimhen but failed to secure his signature.
