Chairman of the Osun State Local Government Service Commission, Tunji Adeleke, has spoken out about a terrifying incident at a popular nightclub in Ibiza, Spain, where he and his cousin, Afrobeats superstar Davido, were allegedly attacked by club security.
Tunji, who is also a member of the Adeleke political dynasty, revealed that the incident occurred during an after-wedding celebration for Davido’s longtime manager, Asa Asika, who recently tied the knot in Nigeria. The celebration, intended to be a fun and relaxing vacation with close friends and family, took a dark turn when chaos broke out at Hi Ibiza, a world-renowned nightlife destination.
Taking to his X handle, Tunji recounted the harrowing experience, describing it as the closest he has ever come to death.
“All because my brother Asa wanted to do a nice after-wedding celebration with friends and family? @hiibizaofficial security almost just klled me! Almost choked me to death. My life flashed before my eyes!!! Closest I’ve been!!! God!!!”* he wrote.
The incident mirrors an earlier outcry from Davido, who, just hours before, had publicly accused the Hi Ibiza security team of attempting to kill him and his entourage. Sharing images of visibly aggressive security personnel via his Instagram story, the DMW boss exclaimed: “@hiibizaofficial security just tried to kill me and my team!!!” adding, “All of yall goin down!!!”
While the exact details surrounding the altercation remain unclear, the alarming accounts from both Davido and Tunji Adeleke have sparked widespread concern from fans and followers online. Many have called on the Spanish authorities and the management of Hi Ibiza to investigate the incident and provide clarity.
As of the time of this report, the club has not released an official statement, and the root cause of the altercation is yet to be determined.
What began as a joyous celebration has quickly escalated into a serious international controversy, with demands for justice echoing across social media.
