May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has issued a cease-and-desist notice against Yinka Theisen, the U.S.-based ex-fiancée of Yul’s elder brother, Linc Edochie.
In the legal document, filed on August 19, 2025, through Gray Law Partners, May accused Theisen of making “false, malicious, and defamatory” statements about her on social media.

The notice, signed by Esther Chinaza Fijo, Esq., alleges that Theisen engaged in cyberstalking, gaslighting, and public shaming, which not only damaged May’s reputation but also endangered her safety.
May is demanding an immediate retraction of the statements, a public apology across all platforms, and ₦500 million in damages for reputational and emotional harm. The notice also gave Theisen 48 hours to comply, warning of civil and criminal litigation if she fails to do so.
The development follows months of online friction between the two women, with Theisen previously accusing May of orchestrating cyberbullying campaigns against her, a claim May has denied.
As of press time, Yinka Theisen has yet to publicly respond to the lawsuit.
