A 16-year-old girl lost her life Saturday morning in a shooting near north suburban Glenview.
The Cook County Sheriff’s police responded to a home in the 3600 block of South Salem Walk.
Officers arrived at the scene near Milwaukee and Lake avenues around 11 a.m.

They discovered the teenager had suffered a gunshot wound inside the residence.
Emergency responders rushed the girl to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Medical staff later pronounced her dead at the hospital.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 16-year-old Lilly Bova.
