The Lagos State Police Command has increased security in Lekki, Ajah, and nearby areas like Ogombo and Elemoro. They introduced new ways to prevent, detect, and control crime. These steps aim to protect people, their property, and investments in the region.

As part of the changes, the police redeployed some Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the area. This move brings fresh energy to reduce crime, improve operations, and respond faster to emergencies.

To boost security further, the Eko Strike Force, a special unit, now patrols Lekki and Ajah. This team handles all types of crime in the area. The police ask residents to work with the team for better results and safety for everyone.

The police also started a quiet investigation into a sad event on Sunday in Lekki Phase 1. A fight between rival cult groups killed three cult members. The clash happened around 5:00 a.m. at a security post on an empty land near Wole Olateju Street.

Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh went to the scene himself with police teams. They acted quickly. The new Anti-Cultism Team and other tactical units from the Elemoro Area Command rushed to the site. They arrested several suspects connected to the incident.

Police then raided criminal hideouts and trouble spots across Lekki. This led to more arrests. The suspects include: Frank Okpara (27), Friday Ebuka (27), Babatunde Mufutau (24), Suleiman Muri (25), Olamide Malik (24), Nwaka Lucky (34), Raphael Ashim (30), Wasiu Kareem (33), Sadiq Olabisi (40), Ibrahim Abdul (22), Ibrahim Aminu (37), Nasiru Musa (27), Friday Nwafor (51), Ahmed Fatai (26), Aro Abiola (A.K.A Zino, 25), Tijani Shehu (A.K.A Abana, 26), Gift Igedi (31), Ugochukwu Chike (30), Ridwan Alex (37), Happiness Otigbo (27), Abiodun Adegun (37), Adedayo Adeoti (27), and Afeez Ahmed (31).

From these suspects, police recovered items used in the crime: one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, 14 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, one military camouflage cap, two cutlasses, wraps of Indian hemp, one charm, and three Indian hemp crushers.

Right now, the security in Lekki-Ajah is stable, and things are back to normal. People can carry on with their daily activities without worry.

The police say crime in Lekki is not out of control. They are working hard to catch other cult members involved. Results will be shared soon. Anyone with dangerous weapons or tied to this crime will face the law.

The Lagos State Police Command promises to keep protecting lives and property in the state. Residents should report suspicious acts to the nearest police station or call emergency lines for quick help.
