Lagos State authorities arrested 40 people during a coordinated operation in Ozumba Mbadiwe and other parts of Lekki.
The arrests targeted individuals involved in unlawful activities that put public safety and order at risk.
The operation took place today, according to a post by Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources. His team focused on maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the state.
Those arrested include Nelson Aidan (29), Abdullahi Aliu (20), Nelly Godwin (34), Umar Abubakar (31), Samuel Thomas (40), Godwin Bolaji (21), Ngozi Kenneth (18), Abraham Isaac (27), Happiness Peter (18), Tosin Aleshinloye (27), Tajudeen Adewole (19), Moradie Anusionwu (27), Adura Rasak (27), Raimi Kareem (38), Nasiru Mustapha (27), Quadri Shoneye (20), Blessing Oluwatuyi (19), Elvis Maikudi (30), Olasupo Daniel (20), Ayodele Oluwatomisin (33), Oladimeji Habeeb (18), Michael Udochukwu (25), Albert John (19), Irom Oyira (21), Victor Danjuma (28), Kingsley Ita (35), Promise Okon (18), Matthias Akogwu (29), Francis Amos (19), Elvis Jubril (30), Yusuf Azika (26), Kingsley Ekpele (42), Samuel Bitrus (25), Alpha Adams (26), Ajibola Sunday (27), Eze Chigozie (36), Nasiru Abdullahi (45), Aboy John (19), Chidi Oreme (45), and Halima Ibrahim (25).
Officials are processing all the suspects. They will face prosecution under the law. Wahab stated that Lagos will not tolerate criminality or lawlessness that harms public safety or the environment.
