Nigerian soul singer Timi Dakolo has taken to social media to blast Royal Air Maroc (RAM), the national airline of Morocco, over a missing luggage he claims has not been returned since June 26, 2025.
In a video posted to his Instagram page on Thursday, the “Great Nation” crooner expressed deep frustration, accusing the airline of negligence and possible theft after his luggage mysteriously disappeared in transit.
“On the 26th of June, I flew from Lagos to Morocco, and I was going to Freetown. To get to Morocco I saw my bag from where I was seated. It’s a business class, I have priority on my luggage. I was told they are going to put it in, and they didn’t put my bag in,” Dakolo narrated.
The singer, who was visibly displeased, explained that despite being reassured that his luggage would be loaded onto the connecting flight, it never arrived at his final destination. Upon arriving in Freetown, Sierra Leone, he realized the bag was missing and immediately filed a report.
“I got to Freetown and I can’t find my bag. Ok, I filled a form, kept calling, sent emails and complained to Nahco. Since the 26th of June, I haven’t seen my full luggage. It’s beginning to look like they stole my stuff. Air Maroc please return my full luggage. It’s not anyhow luggage oo,” he emphasized.
The incident has drawn widespread attention online, especially after popular media personality Daddy Freeze publicly joined the call for action. In his own Instagram video, Daddy Freeze urged both the airline and relevant authorities to intervene.
“Air Maroc, please what is going on with Timi Dakolo’s bag? I need you to look into this. Can the authority please look into this?” he asked.
The ongoing incident has sparked conversations around accountability and customer service in African aviation, with many netizens urging RAM to respond promptly and transparently.
As of the time of this report, Royal Air Maroc has yet to publicly comment on the situation.
