Popular relationship therapist and online personality, Blessing Okoro better known as Blessing CEO has confirmed she is officially engaged to embattled auto dealer Ikechukwu Darry Ogbonna, aka IVD.
The shock announcement came via her Instagram page, where she posted an intimate photo of the couple alongside an emotionally charged caption that read in part:
“I SAID YES….. For the first time, I did not want drama… I just wanted peace and softness… Let’s do this together as we take this journey forever.”
The reveal immediately sent social media into a frenzy, reigniting long-standing debates and controversy surrounding their relationship.
Blessing CEO and IVD first sparked romance rumors in late 2022, mere weeks after the tragic death of IVD’s wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, following a heated domestic incident that rocked the nation. The highly publicized case led to widespread condemnation of domestic violence, with Bimbo’s family accusing IVD of sustained abuse throughout their marriage.
In a move that stunned many, Blessing CEO took to the internet to defend IVD, claiming Bimbo suffered from mental health issues and alleging that the narrative around her death was unfairly skewed. She released supposed private voice notes and chats between the couple, a controversial action that resulted in her arrest in March 2023 by the Nigerian Police Force for alleged cyberbullying and defamation.
At the time, Blessing CEO denied being romantically involved with IVD, insisting she was only speaking as a “relationship expert” trying to share the truth.
Now, the truth is loud and clear.
Their engagement has drawn mixed reactions with some congratulating the pair, and others condemning the move as insensitive, given the unresolved questions surrounding Bimbo’s tragic passing.
