Osun State’s First Lady, Titilola Adeleke, has stirred conversations online after addressing Senator Oluremi “Remi” Tinubu following a widely circulated video showing a tense moment between Governor Ademola Adeleke and the First Lady at the Ooni of Ife’s 10th coronation anniversary.

The incident occurred during the ceremony where Remi Tinubu was installed as the Yeye-Asiwaju of Ile Oodua. In viral clips, Governor Adeleke, known for his lively charisma, approached the podium to give a speech and began singing.

Remi Tinubu, who appeared displeased, stepped in and said:

“I’ll give you five minutes to finish your speech. The music is enough.”

When the governor continued, she reportedly threatened to cut off his microphone, sparking online debate and reactions nationwide.

Hours after the exchange went viral, Governor Adeleke’s wife, Titi Adeleke, posted a public message to Remi Tinubu. Despite the perceived tension, she maintained a respectful tone and congratulated the First Lady on her new chieftaincy title, praising her dedication and impact.

Referring to her as “Mummy,” she wrote:

“I profoundly rejoice with the Mother of the Nation, Distinguished Senator (Dr) Oluremi Tinubu (CON), on her historic installation as the Yeye Oodua of Yoruba Land. This is another testament to your exemplary impact, virtues, and excellent dedication to serving humanity, uplifting lives, and communities across our country. Congratulations, Mummy!”

She also extended warm words to the Ooni of Ife, commending his reign and leadership:

“To our referred Monarch, His Imperial Majesty, Kabiyesi Ooni of Ife, your reign on the throne has brought monumental developments to Ife, Osun State and Nigeria most especially the Yoruba race. I pray long May you reign Kabiyesi, We pray the years ahead bring more successes.

Happy 10th year coronation anniversary.

Long Live Kabiyesi Ooni of Ife,” she added.

The diplomatic message from Titi Adeleke has drawn further attention as Nigerians weigh in on the viral clip and the political undertones surrounding the event.
