A fresh cross-border feud has erupted between Nigerian singer Zinoleesky and Ghanaian-American singer Moliy, after a rumored collaboration sparked a fiery exchange on social media on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
It all began when a fan-made flyer promoting an alleged collaboration between the two artists surfaced online. Moliy, who appeared displeased with the rumour, took to X to shut it down in a rather dismissive tone, replying with a curt “Who?” suggesting she had no idea who Zinoleesky was.
Her response didn’t sit well with the Marlian Music star, who quickly fired back, labeling Moliy a “two-hit wonder.”
“2 hits wonder… and I don’t even know the 2nd song @Moliymusic,” Zinoleesky tweeted, clearly unimpressed.
Not one to back down, Moliy clapped back with an even sharper response, taking a direct jab at Zinoleesky’s Nigerian street credibility.
“Very grateful to not be known by you. Artists that know me aren’t local champions,” she wrote.
The heated exchange immediately divided fans across social media platforms, with Nigerian fans defending Zinoleesky and Ghanaian users rallying behind Moliy. Some of Zinoleesky’s die-hard supporters even went as far as threatening to “cancel” the Ghanaian singer in Nigeria.
Despite the backlash, Moliy appears unfazed. The singer, best known for her international hits and collaborations with Amaarae and Beyoncé’s Parkwood team is currently riding high on global recognition. Her latest single, “Shake It To The Max (Remix),” recently hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Afrobeats Chart, marking her second Billboard entry.
Moliy has also secured two Official UK Chart placements, cementing her status as one of the few Ghanaian artists with strong Western crossover appeal.
Meanwhile, Zinoleesky, who has a loyal fanbase in Nigeria and across Africa, has yet to issue any further comments following the online spat.
The clash has since reignited the age-old Nigeria vs. Ghana rivalry in the Afrobeats space, with fans on both sides debating whose music truly rules the continent.
