When you are in the area, you can choose to visit any of the magnificent hotels, resort centres, shopping malls, water bodies, or parks where both residents and tourists go to relax, blow off steam, and spend time by themselves or with loved ones.

When you’re in Lekki, you’ll never be bored as there are lots of entertaining things to do. However, if you’ve not explored this place before, you could benefit from a guide pointing you to the best spots to check out. On that note, here is our list of 7 Fun Places In Lekki.

1. Filmhouse Cinema IMAX, Lekki Lagos

Filmhouse Cinema IMAX tops the list of fun places in lekki to visit, particularly if you are a movie fan. At IMAX you can relax to a good movie with your family and friends or even go by yourself. 

The cinema features a massive screen that shows scenes in clear and high resolution that provides an immersive viewing experience. Movies are shown in 2D and 3D and tickets go for as low as N3,000. Filmhouse also has a rooftop exclusive terrace bar and VVIP signature bar; in case you don’t want to see a movie.

Location: Rock Drive, Lekki Phase 1.

2. Nike Art Gallery

Nike Art Gallery is debatably the largest centre of its kind in the whole of West Africa. It is housed in a five-story building that contains an art gallery, textile museum, and coffee shop; boasting over 8,000 collections of artworks from different Nigerian artists.

It may take the entire day for you to view all the artworks displayed at the Center for Art and Culture. Luckily it functions seven days a week so you can always come back to view more works. The different exhibitions and workshops hosted at the gallery make it a distinct fun place in Lekki.

Another thing to note about the Center is that dance troops come in occasionally to entertain guests. You can also take a week-long art course with Nike and stay in the guest house provided by the gallery; you could sample the cuisine they have available. Entry is free.

Location: No 2, Nike Art Gallery Road, 3rd Roundabout, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

Opening hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

3. Lufasi Nature Park

Lufasi Nature Park is another of the fun places in lekki you should visit. It is situated at Awoyaya. The park was established to help with the conservation of wildlife because of the Lekki Peninsula development project. 

The entry fee to Lufasi is ₦500 per child and ₦1,000 per adult. It is an interesting place to take your kids’ or friends. There are many fun things you can do here. The children can also play soccer,  volleyball, or table tennis to stay engaged. They could also go to the kids’ playground, while you explore other parts of the park.

Things to see at the Nature Park are the Anthill, a mini zoo reserved for certain domestic animals and monkeys, there is a pond too. The park has a short bridge you can stand on do a short photoshoot or create video content. Additionally, if you like arts and crafts, you can get paintings and other such souvenirs at a store there.

Location: Majek 1st Gate, KM 41, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos, Nigeria.

4. Rufus And Bee

At Rufus And Bee, you can take your gaming experience to the next level. Play anything from traditional snooker games to contemporary Dance Revolution. It has a sports bar, bowling lanes, and the American Tex-Mex Restaurant too.

R & Bee has more than 100 thrilling games, it delivers top-notch gaming experience for children, adults, families, and even corporate teams.

Location: Off Remi Olowude Road, Lekki Second Roundabout (By Lekki Leisure / Ark Event Center).

Opening hours: Monday (closed). Tuesday – Sunday, 12:00 – 22:30.

5. Eleko Beach

Eleko Beach is one of the fun places in Lekki to hang out if you are a beach lover. Next to Landmark and Lekki Leisure Lake, this is another top spot to go to catch waves and relax by the ocean.

The entry fee for this place is ₦500 per adult or child. It is a private beach packed with entertaining activities. At Eleko you can ride a horse or have a picnic. There are huts with mini pools where you can stay with your group during your visit to the beach.

Location: Lekki Peninsula.

6. BLD By Play

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (BLD) is one of the most popular fun places in Lekki. It is an ideal spot for people who just want to have easy fun. BLD has a lounge and nightclub where you can go to drink or dance from 8:00 am – 2:00 am every day. There is also an open space where you can hold a listening party or play interesting outdoor games. 

Location: 15 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase I 106104, Lagos.

Opening hours:  Monday – Saturday, 8 am – 11 pm. Sunday 10 am – 12 am.

7. Funtopia Water Park

Funtopia Water Park is a kid-friendly fun place in Lekki where your kids can do some recreational activities, swim and play. The park provides indoor and outdoor fun for the family. It is the most family-inclusive place in the area.

At Funtopia you can go water sliding, swimming or gaming. You could take a camera along with you so that you can capture your kid’s experiences. It begins operations between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm every day, and the gate fee is ₦1,000.

Location: KM 35 Lekk-Epe Express Way, 105101, Lagos.

Opening hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
