Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has never been short of drama, and over the years, some of its biggest controversies have stemmed from disqualifications. While evictions are expected, disqualifications come with a heavier weight, a direct punishment for breaking the house’s strict rules.
From physical fights and aggressive behavior to inappropriate conduct and confidentiality breaches, BBNaija has consistently enforced its zero-tolerance policy, no matter how popular a contestant may be.
With Faith Adewale, popularly known as Faith, recently expelled from the ongoing BBNaija Season 10/10 after a violent clash with fellow housemate Sultana, the spotlight once again falls on those who have left the house in disgrace.
Here’s a look at all the housemates who have been disqualified in the show’s history:
1. Kemen (Season 2 – See Gobe, 2017)
Ekemini Ekerett, popularly called Kemen, was sent home after being found guilty of inappropriate conduct toward fellow housemate TBoss while she was asleep. His disqualification sparked one of the earliest and most heated debates in BBNaija history.
2 & 3. Khloe & K-Brule (Season 3 – Double Wahala, 2018)
Khloe and K-Brule became the first pair to leave the show together after each accumulated three strikes. Their heated exchanges, insults, and attempted physical violence crossed the line. In one infamous clash, Khloe’s derogatory comments about K-Brule’s mother escalated tensions, sealing their fate.
4. Tacha (Season 4 – Pepper Dem, 2019)
Natacha Akide, widely known as Tacha, was disqualified following a heated altercation with eventual winner Mercy Eke. The confrontation turned physical, and coupled with earlier warnings, it forced Big Brother to end her stay. Her exit remains one of the most talked-about moments in BBNaija history.
5. Erica Nlewedim (Season 5 – Lockdown, 2020)
Erica’s disqualification was an emotional rollercoaster for viewers. After a series of infractions including verbally attacking fellow housemate Laycon, preventing the Head of House from sleeping in his bed, and flouting Big Brother’s rules, she was shown the door in dramatic fashion.
6. Beauty Tukura (Season 7 – Level Up, 2022)
Former Miss Nigeria, Beauty, shocked fans when she was removed just two weeks into the season. Her aggressive outbursts, which involved throwing objects and heated confrontations, went against the show’s code of conduct and brought her time in the house to an abrupt end.
7. IU Prisa (Season 9 – 2024)
IU Prisa’s disqualification was unique. She was reportedly axed before even stepping into the house for breaching confidentiality rules by prematurely revealing she had been selected for the season.
8. Faith (Season 10 – 10/10, 2025)
Faith’s exit is the most recent and one of the most dramatic. He was disqualified after dragging a basket of items with housemate Sultana, causing her to fall and twist her ankle. Big Brother condemned his violent conduct and ordered his immediate disqualification, just days before the grand finale.
Over the years, these disqualifications have proven one thing: no matter the fan base, influence, or entertainment value, Big Brother Naija holds firm to its rules. As Faith joins the list, the show’s history of high-stakes drama only deepens.
