There have been several reactions on social media after Marcelo’s contract termination.
Marcelo contract with Fluminense has been terminated. This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his X account on Saturday.
“Real Madrid legend Marcelo, now available as a free agent as his contract at Fluminense has been terminated.” Romano shared.
There are claims that the club’s decision might be connected to the player’s disrespecting his manager Mano Menezes.
In a video shared on X, The Coach wanted to bring him on but later benched after the player disagreed over game tactics.
“I was going to bring Marcelo in at that time, but I heard one thing that I did not like and I changed my mind,” Menezes said at a news conference.
“He wasn’t going in to solve any problem for us, he was stepping in to let us keep what we had [on the scoreboard]. It was just two, three minutes to the end.”
