Reality TV star and comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, is gearing up for a historic Guinness World Record attempt as he seeks to set the bar for the world’s longest stand-up comedy performance.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed on Sunday via Instagram that his application has officially been approved by Guinness World Records (GWR). He described the challenge as more than just a personal ambition, but a defining moment for Nigerian entertainment.
“There comes a time in every man’s life when he must test the limit of what is possible for himself, his people, his craft and generations watching,” DeeOne wrote in his announcement.
The comedian will take on the daring task of performing over 40 hours of non-stop comedy at Pallazo Lagos, Opebi, Ikeja, from October 2 to 4, 2025. The marathon will feature a mix of rib-cracking jokes, personal stories, and cultural commentary aimed at keeping audiences entertained around the clock.
This bold move comes just days after fellow BBNaija alum, Tacha, disclosed her plans to attempt a different Guinness World Record, the most makeovers within a 48-hour period, scheduled for October 10 to 12, 2025.
With both stars set to make their mark, October promises to be a record-breaking month for Nigerian talent on the global stage.
