Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, turned his wedding day into both a grand celebration of love and a touching moment of remembrance for his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
During his lavish white wedding to his long-time partner, Chioma Rowland, in Miami, USA, the award-winning singer wore specially designed cufflinks featuring Ifeanyi’s image. The sentimental accessory, which he proudly showcased on his Instagram story, became one of the most heartfelt highlights of the event.
The Miami white wedding which followed their colourful traditional ceremony in 2024 was nothing short of spectacular. It pulled together a high-profile guest list featuring influential figures from Nigeria’s business, political, and entertainment scenes.
Several music stars, including Adekunle Gold, Teni, and Zlatan Ibile, were in attendance, having also graced the couple’s glamorous pre-wedding dinner.
Speaking on the sheer scale of the celebration, Davido revealed the jaw-dropping cost of the event. “We spent $3.7m in cash. You should know what we are doing. It’s crazy,” the singer said.
