Veteran entertainer and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has taken his search for a daughter-in-law to the public space as he appeals for a suitable partner for his 46-year-old son.
In a post shared on both X and Instagram on Friday, the self-styled Area Fada revealed personal details about his son, while also listing the qualities he expects in any potential candidate.
According to him, his son, a master’s degree holder who stands at 5ft 11ins tall was once married but is now divorced. Charly Boy added that the experience seems to have left him wary of women.
“My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman,” the singer wrote.
He went further to outline the kind of woman he is seeking, stressing that only women with solid family values and good educational backgrounds should apply.
“Biko, if you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me. He is coming next month. He is a master’s degree holder, age 46, 5ft 11ins, very humble. If you’re not an authentic graduate don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria,” he added.
Charly Boy emphasized that his son, whom he described as “very humble,” will be visiting Nigeria next month. He expressed hopes that the right woman will help him reconnect more deeply with his roots.
