Actress Peggy Ovire has come under fire after CCTV footage surfaced showing her assaulting fellow actor Taye Arimoro on a movie set. The clip, which circulated widely online on Thursday morning, captured the moment Peggy and her driver physically attacked Arimoro in the presence of other crew members.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday night during a film shoot. According to Arimoro, he was detained against his will by Peggy, who allegedly ordered her team to block his car when he attempted to leave around midnight after filming beyond their agreed time. He claimed the actress demanded that he stay back to “shoot two quick scenes” and that he was beaten when he refused.
In an earlier response posted on her Instagram story, Peggy denied the accusations, alleging instead that Arimoro had assaulted her driver first.
However, the emergence of the CCTV footage appears to contradict her version of events, sparking widespread backlash from fans and colleagues who accused the actress of being dishonest and unprofessional.
As of press time, neither Peggy Ovire nor her management has issued a formal statement addressing the leaked footage.
