The drama surrounding BBNaija star Bright Chigozie Mbata, popularly known as Bright Morgan, has taken a new twist as his ex-girlfriend finally speaks out.
For days, Bright has referenced his former partner in interviews since leaving the Big Brother Naija reality show, even alleging that she was behind calls for his disqualification while he was still in the house.
But in a fiery Instagram story, his ex decided to set the record straight, accusing him of peddling falsehoods and constantly dragging her name into the spotlight.
According to her, their relationship officially ended on August 7, 2025, and she even asked Bright to remove her name from a wrist tattoo to close that chapter of their lives. She noted that when she walked away, she made sure to inform his parents, siblings, and close friends so that there would be no ambiguity about her decision.
The ex-girlfriend also claimed that Bright’s financial struggles began early in their relationship. Just seven days after they started dating, she alleged, the reality star asked her for financial help, saying he had no money for food or groceries. Out of love, she said, she stepped in and continued to support him throughout their time together.
In her words: “It is not a crime to love someone deeply and genuinely. Yes! I am not ashamed or afraid to say that I loved Bright Morgan genuinely, after he made me believe he was genuine. Seven days into our relationship, Bright Morgan needed my financial help, stating that he had no money for food or groceries, and he had no one else to turn to. I sent him the money, and it’s been that way ever since. Please do not be quick to judge until you hear the full story. It is a lot deeper than you think.”
While stressing that she had no regrets about the love she gave, she hinted that the story was “much deeper” than what the public currently knows. She promised to share the full details at a later time.
Her response has stirred even more conversations online, with fans divided between supporting her claims and defending Bright Morgan. What’s clear, however, is that the drama between the ex-lovers is far from over.
