Chicago police have issued an alert following an armed robbery on a CTA Blue Line train in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. on January 4, 2026, in the 500 block of South Kedzie.
According to investigators, a passenger was riding the train when three individuals targeted them.
Police report that one suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim’s belongings.
While the robbery took place, the other two suspects blocked the train doors, preventing them from closing so the group could escape quickly.
The 11th (Harrison) District is investigating the crime.
No injuries were reported, but the suspects remain at large.
