Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adekunle Olapade, has shed light on what really goes on behind the cameras of the popular reality show, revealing that nudity among contestants is a common occurrence.
The reality star, who participated in the Level Up season in 2022 and returned for the All Stars edition in 2023, made the revelation during a podcast interview with Pulse.
His comments come amid heated debates over recent viral clips showing intimate encounters between housemates Koyin and Isabella, as well as Jason Jae and Sultana.
Adekunle criticized viewers for what he described as hypocrisy, stressing that it is natural for contestants to develop feelings for each other in such a setting.
“A lot of people who watch Big Brother Naija reality show are very hypocritical. Secondly, there is actually nothing wrong with two people who like each deciding to get intimate,” he said.
He went further to explain how the unique living conditions in the Big Brother house often influence the bonds between contestants.
“All the housemates see each other naked, in case you don’t know. So, you cannot be in a house with somebody that you see without clothes almost everyday and not be attracted to the person. It won’t work,” Adekunle added.
His candid take has stirred mixed reactions online, with some fans agreeing that the reality show naturally fuels attraction, while others argue that it is no justification for on-camera intimacy.
Big Brother Naija, one of Africa’s biggest reality TV shows, has continued to attract huge viewership, not just for the competition itself but also for the relationships and controversies that arise within the house.
