The much-anticipated unveiling kicked off at exactly 8:00 pm, with guests arriving in style and receiving a warm, well-orchestrated welcome on the red carpet before being ushered up to the rooftop. From the moment guests stepped into The Pergola, it was clear that the night would be one to remember, defined by sophistication, vibrant music, and premium hospitality.
The evening opened on a soulful note as The Discovery Band took over the stage, delivering captivating live performances and smooth renditions that set the perfect ambience for over two hours. By 10:00 pm, DJ Special stepped in, seamlessly transitioning the night into a more upbeat and energetic groove. Steering the event with flair and charisma was the MC for the night, MC Macopolo, who kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.
The grand opening attracted an impressive lineup of dignitaries and industry leaders, including the CEO of KOD Homes and Properties, the Monarch of 8 Ball Snooker Club, Lekki, Chief Anselm Ilekuba, CEO of Cedric Masters Group makers of GIM Isuzu Motors, renowned filmmaker Lily Perez, and Mr White, owner of White Deck Beach Resort, Lekki, among others.
The celebrity presence further elevated the night, with notable appearances by Ebuka-Obi Uchendu, popular BBNaija host, Kellyrae, winner of the 2024 Big Brother Naija reality show, and Tochi, former BBNaija Lockdown housemate.
Entertainment remained at the heart of the celebration as a series of performances thrilled guests throughout the night. Spectacular sets from Donna Adja, South African sensation Domi Fave, and a stunning Michael Jackson impersonation by Prince Jackson kept the energy levels soaring. He delivered a powerful back-to-back performance of his hit songs, culminating in an explosive rendition of fan favourites “Canada” and “Cartel,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The grand opening doubled as a special celebration for the CEO of Wellborn Hotel, Mr John ebube Anyika , who marked his birthday on the same night, adding an extra layer of excitement and festivity to the occasion.
The celebration rolled on till the early hours of the morning right up until cockcrow, cementing the event as one of the most talked-about nightlife experiences in Lagos.
