A tragic accident occurred overnight on the Otedola Bridge, inward Berger, resulting in the instantaneous death of two car occupants.
The incident involved a car and a loaded trailer. The car reportedly collided with the moving trailer on the bridge late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
The two individuals travelling in the car tragically lost their lives at the scene.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Rescue Team responded promptly to the location.
Personnel ensured the safety of the area and carried out the necessary recovery procedures, including the retrieval of the two deceased individuals.
Fortunately, due to the time of the incident, LASTMA confirmed that no traffic disruption was caused by the accident or the subsequent recovery efforts.
Authorities urged all motorists to drive cautiously at all times, especially in the dark, to prevent such devastating accidents.
