Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face or 2Baba, has spoken out publicly for the first time amid the ongoing controversy involving him and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Taking to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, the award-winning singer posted a brief but emotional message: “Help me.”
His outcry comes shortly after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, shared a worrying Instagram post that included lyrics from one of 2Baba’s songs.
Hyacinth wrote:
“You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us to save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
The family’s concerns follow weeks of public drama between 2Baba and Osawaru. The tension reportedly escalated in the United Kingdom, where the couple allegedly had a heated confrontation that drew police intervention and led to the singer’s brief arrest.
The issue resurfaced recently during an Instagram Live chat with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where 2Baba and Osawaru were seen arguing in real time.
These incidents have heightened speculation about serious troubles in their marriage, leaving fans deeply worried about the music icon’s emotional and mental well-being.
