A new video has surfaced online showing Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, being handcuffed and escorted away by police officers in London despite his earlier denial of being arrested in the UK.
The clip, shared by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok, captures officers speaking with the singer outside what appears to be a retail store before leading him away with his hands restrained behind his back. The footage has sparked fresh speculation about the nature of the incident.
This comes just hours after another viral video appeared online showing a woman believed to be his wife, Osawaru Natasha confronting him inside a London shop and accusing him of shouting at her.
At the moment, the details remain unclear. UK authorities have not released any official statement confirming the arrest or explaining what led to the police intervention.
The new footage contradicts the artist’s earlier dismissal of similar reports. Back in October, rumours circulated that 2Baba had been arrested in London over an alleged altercation with Natasha. The singer refuted the claims, insisting that his absence from a scheduled tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a medical emergency, not a domestic dispute.
He later addressed fans in an Instagram post, thanking those who attended despite his absence and promising to make up for the missed performance.
“First of all, I want to say to everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough,” he said. “To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen.”
2Baba also criticised the spread of false reports at the time, urging people to verify information before sharing it.
“If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” he lamented.
As the latest clip continues to circulate, fans are waiting for clarity from UK authorities or an official statement from the singer’s team.
