Popular TikTok creator, Peller, has sparked fresh debate online after questioning the tradition of multiple church offerings, especially among members who are already battling financial hardship.
Speaking during a conversation with UK-based clergyman Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, Peller expressed concern over how worshippers with very little are often expected to give repeatedly in church, yet see no improvement in their situation.
He lamented that many people pray for financial breakthrough but are still pressured to pay several offerings despite their struggles. Using his own experience as an example, the streamer revealed that his church sometimes collects up to seven different offerings in one service.
“You go to church to pray for money, yet you still have to pay offering while you’re still very poor. And after all the praying and giving, nothing changes. My church even collects seven different offerings,” he said.
Peller’s remarks have ignited discussions across social media about the balance between faith, giving, and economic reality.
