Rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has called for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s immediate resignation following the abduction of over 100 students and staff in Niger State.
The kidnapping occurred on November 21 when armed attackers stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, whisking away scores of pupils and teachers in yet another blow to Nigeria’s worsening security situation.
The Niger State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that tactical squads, military units, and other security agencies have launched a joint search-and-rescue operation across nearby forests.
Authorities also criticized the school for reopening without official clearance despite prior warnings about heightened insecurity.
Reacting to the tragedy, Falz expressed deep frustration with the government’s handling of security, accusing President Tinubu of gross failure.
In a strongly worded statement shared on social media, Falz wrote:
“YOU HAVE FAILED WOEFULLY @officialABAT. TENDER YOUR RESIGNATION NOW!”
His comment has sparked intense discussions online, with many Nigerians echoing concerns about the nation’s deteriorating security and demanding stronger accountability from leadership.
