There was a brief moment of drama at Burna Boy’s concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, after the Grammy-winning star paused his performance to call out a couple in the audience.
The “African Giant” reportedly spotted a woman dozing off mid-show and immediately stopped the music to address the situation. Turning his attention to the pair, Burna Boy told the boyfriend to escort his sleeping partner out of the venue, insisting he wouldn’t continue performing until they left.
The crowd watched as the duo made their way out, after which the singer resumed his energetic set.
The concert was part of Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness tour. He later described Red Rocks as one of his top three favorite venues in the world, noting that he’s among the first Nigerian artists to perform there.
This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has confronted fans during a show, he has previously asked audience members to leave for being unresponsive or disrespectful during his performances.
