The ongoing feud between Nollywood star, Regina Daniels, and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a shocking twist as the actress’ brother, Sammy West, has reportedly been remanded in Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court.
According to reports, Sammy was remanded on Thursday without access to a lawyer, sparking outrage from his family and fans. His elder brother, known as @sweezzy1, broke the news on Instagram, alleging foul play and questioning the reason behind Sammy’s detention.
In a post, he wrote:
“He is currently at Keffi Prison! Dutse Magistrate has suddenly disappeared. Ned, you can pay everybody, but you can’t pay for integrity! Sammy said, ‘My lawyers are on their way,’ but he wasn’t allowed to call anyone. The judge said, ‘Remand him till they can file for bail.’ Bail has been filed, but now the magistrate has disappeared. You want to make him test prison? Ned, the most powerful man in the universe, but you still no fit big pass God!”
He also shared a video of Sammy lamenting his ordeal, saying he was denied access to his lawyer and family since his arrest on Monday.
Reports allege that Sammy was arrested in Lagos by Senator Ned Nwoko’s team and flown to Abuja in a private jet before being transferred to Keffi Prison.
Reacting to the development, Regina Daniels took to her Instagram page to confirm the arrest, claiming that her brother and sister were detained to force her into “rehabilitation.”
The actress, who is currently embroiled in a messy separation from Ned Nwoko, accused the senator of using his influence to punish her family after she publicly accused him of domestic violence.
Senator Nwoko, on his part, has reportedly accused Regina of substance abuse and claims she has been evading rehabilitation—allegations the actress has strongly denied.
The situation continues to unfold, with fans calling for transparency and justice in the matter.
