An Abuja-based businessman has publicly confirmed that Nollywood star Regina Daniels has settled the outstanding balance he earlier accused her of owing, bringing an end to a social media controversy that stirred wide reactions.
The businessman, identified on TikTok as @mroluseyi, operates a transportation company known as Ronaldo Logistics and Car Hire Service. He went viral a few weeks ago after claiming that Regina Daniels had allegedly failed to pay a balance of ₦570,000 for car hire services rendered to her in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to his earlier account, the actress patronized his car hire company for several days but did not complete the payment afterward. The situation, he said, left him frustrated after several failed attempts to reach her and her personal assistant, both of whom, he alleged, had blocked him on all communication channels.
In a new video posted on his TikTok page, the businessman joyfully announced that the actress has now cleared the debt in full. Expressing gratitude to those who supported him, he said the issue has been resolved amicably and that he holds no grudge against Regina Daniels.
“Regina Daniels has finally paid my money. Thank you very much for your concern. I appreciate everyone who helped bring attention to this issue,” he said.
“Nobody paid me to tarnish anyone’s image. I only came online because every other means of contact failed. It was a business matter, not a personal attack.”
He emphasized that his earlier outburst was not intended to embarrass the actress or damage her reputation, clarifying that his actions were purely to demand what was rightfully owed to his company.
“As a businessperson, I only wanted to be paid for a service rendered. Going public was the last resort when all communication attempts failed. I respect everyone involved, including Regina and her family, but I just want fairness for small businesses. We work hard for every kobo we earn,” he added.
The incident, which had sparked mixed reactions online, now appears to have been resolved peacefully. Fans and commentators have since praised both parties for handling the matter with maturity and bringing it to a close without further drama.
