Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has finally shared her side of the story regarding the recent altercation that took place at a hotel in Abuja.
The incident, which stirred social media reactions after a video showing Phyna being restrained went viral, has now taken a new turn following her revelation on Instagram.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Story, Phyna explained that the viral clip was recorded after the fight, as she was heading to the police station. According to her, the altercation began after a female acquaintance allegedly stole from her, an act she claimed wasn’t the first time.
“The video circulating is a video of after the fight and I was heading to the station. The girl in question brought touts to the hotel. The girls keep stealing from me, she stole again yesterday, I caught her and while we were trying to sort it, it led to a fight,” she wrote.
Phyna further alleged that the girl in question returned with touts, which escalated the confrontation into a violent clash.
“Check the door, even the girl’s blood full. Make una pray make she sha survive. I’m the last person my fellow girl will bring to the ground at that reception. The only people that were with me are just 3; every other person are the touts she called in,” she added.
The reality star maintained that she was attacked by the group, insisting that the video circulating online doesn’t tell the full story.
“That video I was dragged down by the touts she brought and she was on me. Well, when she wakes up, she will go and chill in prison cuz she is currently in the hospital. Me, I dey hotel dey chill,” Phyna said.
In a follow-up post, Phyna reflected on the incident, hinting at betrayal from old friends and the challenges of fame.
“This life, as a person, once you blow make sure you cut off your old friends. The envy and jealousy choke. Omo, only this 2025 alone for me has been really bad and terrible,” she wrote.
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions online, with fans divided over Phyna’s explanation. While some sympathized with her, others called for a police investigation to ensure all sides of the story are verified.
As of press time, there has been no official statement from the Abuja Police Command regarding the case.
