The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has announced the immediate closure of a major section of Lekki road to allow for the E1 Lagos Grand Prix boat race.
The affected area is the Lekki junction inward Ozumba Mbadiwe. This closure is necessary to safely host the E1 Boat Race, according to an official post by the agency.
Motorists are strongly advised to plan their journeys ahead of time and use alternative routes to prevent severe traffic congestion near the event location.
The traffic authority urges all road users to be cooperative, follow the road signs, and strictly adhere to all instructions given by law enforcement and traffic officials.
