Recently evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Tracy Ekwe, has opened up about her uncertain career future after her seven-week stay in the reality TV show.
Tracy, who works with an oil and gas firm, had earlier revealed while in the house that she took a two-week leave from her job under false pretenses. Instead of disclosing her plans to join BBNaija, she told her employers she was going on a “self-improvement course.”
In a post-eviction interview with The Beat 99.9 FM Lagos, Tracy admitted that her extended stay in the house which went far beyond her approved leave could put her job at serious risk.
“I don’t think HR will take me back because I lied that I was going for a self-improvement course and I went to Big Brother Naija. I couldn’t tell them I was going for the reality show because I wasn’t sure. But I will talk to them and see if they can take me back,” she confessed.
Reflecting on life after eviction, Tracy also hinted at exploring opportunities in the entertainment industry.
“Also, I plan to delve into entertainment a little bit like lifestyle content creation. I will also try acting,” she added.
Tracy’s revelation has sparked conversations online, with fans debating whether her gamble on BBNaija was worth the potential career consequences. While some praised her for chasing her dreams, others questioned the risk of jeopardizing a stable career in the oil and gas sector.
