Global Afrobeats superstar Davido once again proved the strength of his relationships as he put friendship above business during the lavish wedding of Tosan Ejiro, daughter of billionaire businessman Chief Dr. Michael Edematie-Ikuku, in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday.
The singer, who reportedly cut short his honeymoon in the United States to attend the high-profile event, not only graced the wedding but also delivered an electrifying live performance without charging a dime.
Chief Ikuku, chairman and CEO of Michharry & Company Nigeria Limited, shared the heartwarming revelation during his speech at the reception, praising Davido’s loyalty and humility.
“My very good friend, he is not only my friend, my son, Davido is here with me. Davido has a very serious commitment, but he cancelled all his commitment for my sake and my family to grace our event. And also, when I asked Davido, how much is your bill? He said, Chief, how can you ask me about money, I don’t need money. As he is here today he just came to support me without charging money,” Chief Ikuku said.
